rtvm.gov.ph 11 June 2011 Manila Hotel President Benigno S. Aquino III served as the guest of honor during the 36th Anniversary of Philippines-China Diplomatic Relations and 10th Filipino-Chinese Friendship Day in Manila Hotel. In his message, President Aquino thanked the Federation of Filipino-Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry Incorporated (FFCCCII) for their continuous support and partaking to the administration. He particularly mentioned the Operation Barrio Schools project of FFCCCII that will provide a total of 8200 classrooms all over the country. He also said that the long-time trade of Philippines and China has brought mutual benefits to both countries. Further, the President invited the Filipino-Chinese trading partners to engage in Public-Private Partnership (PPP) projects and invest in the Philippines. The Chief Executive highlighted the friendship that both countries had shared over the past years. He said that he recognize all contributions made by FFCCCII were not given by Chinese people but by true-blooded Filipinos to their fellow Filipinos. The Filipino-Chinese community also celebrated the 113th Philippine Independence Day and 150th Birth Anniversary of Dr. Jose Rizal. With this, the President, together with FFCCCII officials, presented the Plaque of Honor to the two descendants of Dr. Jose Rizal. They are Security and Exchange Commission Chairperson Teresita Herbosa and Design Internal Selection Inc. CEO Leandro Lopez-Rizal Bantug. President ...
